José Guilisasti Gana – General Manager
José, an industry leader in the implementation of environmental and social practices in the winery, has been instrumental in the conversion from conventional agricultural management to sustainable production based on organic and biodynamic principles.
Jose’s work at Emiliana is now recognized globally, influencing changes at vineyards and wineries throughout the world. He currently heads up the team as General Manager, and continues to move the company forward, positioning it as a global leader in sustainable agricultural practices.
Cristian Rodriguez – Commerical Director
Through his eight plus years traveling the world for Emiliana, selling wine in more than 50 countries, Cristian has gained expert knowledge in the various ways of communicating the importance and uniqueness of organic and biodynamic wines.
Alvaro Espinoza – Winemaker Consultant
He has been the Consulting Winemaker at Emiliana since 2000 and has helped craft the super-premium organic and biodynamic wines from the portfolio.
Emilio Contreras – Winemaker
Emilio received his degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialization in Enology from the University of Chile. His journey in enology began in 1999 during his first internship at Concha y Toro’s cellar in Puente. Since then, Emilio’s career has had him focus specifically on the Colchagua and Maipo valleys in Chile, as well as taking him abroad briefly to both California
(Sonoma) and Australia (Langhorne creek).
Emilio joined Emiliana’s team of winemakers in 2007. He sees his work at Emiliana as a huge opportunity for producing wines with unique character and identity.
Noelia Orts – Winemaker – Los Robles Estate
Noelia graduated from the Polytechnic University of Valencia with a degree in Viticulture and Enology. She has travelled all over the world studying wines and working vintages. Among others Noelia has worked at Miguel Torres and Marqués de Griñón wineries in Spain, and Oyster Bay in New Zealand.
After being enchanted by Chilean wine, she decided to study a Master’s Degree in Enology and Viticulture at the University of Chile. In 2011, she joined Emiliana’s family and is in charge of Signos de Origen, Coyam, and Gê, alongside Álvaro Espinoza.
Fernando Pavon – Wine Ambassador
Fernando’s dynamic personality, passion for sustainable agriculture and commitment to the organic movement made him an ideal Wine Ambassador for Emiliana. Fernando has a sommeliers degree from the renowned Escuela de Sommeliers in Chile and is also a member of the International Sommelier Association.
Alejandro Mitarakis – Emiliana Brand Specialist
Nano comes from a family of trailblazers in the wine industry, and their family history is most certainly a legacy. As brand specialist, Nano will be responsible for helping build the core brands of Emiliana in the US. He has worked extensively with the winemakers and has an intimate understanding of Emiliana’s philosophy, vision and point of difference in the market.
