The roads crossing the tidy countryside of southern Piedmont are an inviting prelude to the enchanting ambiance of Strevi. In 1979, just over one year after John and Harry Mariani founded the Castello Banfi vineyard estate in Montalcino, they acquired the historical winery known as Bruzzone. The winery, recently restored and renovated, both preserves and exalts the character and typicity of its grapes. The estate, situated between the cities of Novi Ligure and Acqui, lies across 50 hectares of land, 46 of which are dedicated to noble vines.
Banfi Piemonte has seen consistent growth since its inception, guided by the mission of combining authenticity with innovation to produce sparkling wines of the highest quality. In addition to the production of Charmat wines, the heart of the cellar is dedicated to the Metodo Classico. The winery’s dedication to quality and its link to terroir are expressed across its varied and well-rounded portfolio, boasting Piedmont’s most noble varietals including: Cortese, Brachetto, and Dolcetto.
